So let me get this straight.  Rukia goes from being an unseated shinigami until the very end of the second to last arc where she is promoted, useless in the last arc all the way until the very last quarter of the final arc, to captain in the epilogue?  And Renji is still vice captain?  Lisa was brought in to be the eighth's captain, Iba was promoted, and so was isane, buy not the other main shinigami character that's honestly stronger than at the very least 70% of all the remaining and current captain's (Rukia, Lisa, Kensei, Shinji, Rose, Iba, isane, and Soi fon).  As you can tell, I'm a little salty about this.
