Bleach Chapter 685 Discussion

After reading this chapter, I was laughing my ass off while screaming "So what the hell is Ichigo Bankai?!" lol.



Next Chapter : The (Not) Perfect Ending.

A bad chapter as expected.We have a huge timeskip out of nowhere without any explanation.I will say only this: "RIP Ukitake"

10 years has passed. Ukitake is dead. Chibi Nemu is super adorable! This time she is loud haha. Looks like Yachiru is gone for sure too. I was hoping for an ass pull for her to be alive. I always loved the Yachiru and Kenpachi dynamic and it's sad to know that's gone now. Great to see that Rukia is finally a captain.



I loved that Rukia is promoted to be a captain now and her progression in the series. She went from losing her powers, to a prisoner scheduled for execution to a Captain. I think that was a fulfilling end to her story.



That cliffhanger with someone's reiatsu is nearly identical to Yhwach from 10 years ago. I'm pretty damn sure it's gonna be Ichigo and Yhwach bursting into the future from their final battle. Or something really stupid entirely because that wouldn't make sense for a final chapter.



Looks like this won't be the final chapter, thank god it wasn't. 20 pages to end a 15 year series would be a huge "fuck you" to the loyal fans. Hopefully we get a satisfying and huge final chapter.

Who got in a relationship with who (Ichigo's family, schoolmates/friends & Co.) and where are they know?

What happened to the Fullbringer people who were aiding Ihigo?!

What happened to Grimmjow & Nel?! I want to see Grimmjow as king of Hueco Mundo & Nel as his Queen…

I want to know if the 0 squad/division (Royal Guard) got new members...

Who is the new Soul King? Aizen?!

Who Is the new Quincy leader? Ishida?!

Final fight with whom? Aizen or Yhwach?

Ichigo's true/final bankai in next chapter?



The thing is he can answer some of this question by showing one small panel without consuming a large space and the need of dialogue.

The issue, as of right now, is we immediately have a time skip without even something post Ichigo cutting Yhwach in half.  No dying words from Yhwach to Ichigo/Uryu, nothing about what's going on with Aizen.  The worlds need a Soul King in order to not fall apart, so someone had to take up the mantle.  There is a hint at the end of the chapter, as well as a panel showing black reaitsu, that does seem to be Yhwach/Soul King related.



However, next week there is going to be a big announcement.  I am highly skeptical to say sequel considering the rushing we've had lately, but some people are predicting some sort of huge plot twist with Yhwach, so I won't leave it out as a possibility.  If not though, then yes this timeskip was very abrupt, and it really does suck we couldn't at least have a few pages after the battle first.



The other option which I think is probably more likely is the anime returning.  However when it comes to that, we most likely wouldn't get it until around Summer 2017.  Still the anime could fill in a lot of gaps that we weren't able to see in the manga, and that would be a huge plus in my books.  So we'll just have to see what it is, though we're going to have to wait 2 weeks since SJ is on break next week.+1

I cried for Ukitake and Rukia, he was my fav captain, and now my fav girl gets to take his spot. Squad 13 was overall my favorite.



Its sad how nobody mentions Ichigo at all. Pretty sure he'd be at Rukia's promotion considering how close they were all those years. I hope he ain't dead lol.



That at the end is probably Aizen. Also where are Urahara, Yoruichi, Komamura, etc? Are they all dead? I hope we get to see what's up with them as well. Last chapter has to be 50 pages long lol. Kubo you have 2 weeks for this, please deliver.

Kubo would convince me of Bleach true ending only if in the last chapter he decides to let Juha win and kill everyone and destroy the world because if that won't be the case (and I am 100% sure it won't and 100% i won't be satisfied) I don't see any possibility to end it properly only in 1 chap left

Next chapter everyone waked up and finds they are still on chapter 1 and that the manga is actually not Bleach and Aizen saying "When exactly were you under the illusion you were reading Bleach?"



Seriously though. Tons of shit will be left in the air like this but i feel like i don't care really. Bleach has been horrible since that stupid fullbring arc anyway.

Let it end it's misery.

Kubo was just writing fights ever since the Soul Society arc ended and no story really. Fan theories and stories were a lot better than what he gave us and he introduced too many characters he couldn't develop while wasting many others etc.



For his next project he needs to hire a few story writers for help and a background designer so he can put something between his ink splatters.
