Of course, the fathers only came for a delivery, the heroes side would be too powerful if they actively participated. Having them suddenly appear a few chapters ago was only a way to show them before the finale and "keep" the readers excited, I suppose...

... Just like Aizen's reappearance in this chapter.

I think that arrow head came from Ishida's mom that is why Ryuuken said to Uryuu "You are the one that should shoot this arrow"
