Why must Hitsugaya look like half of the male population of Bleach?

You'd think after all these years Kubo would've learnt to draw more types of faces.

Plus, Toshi was cute as a shota. I'm not sure I can get behind this sudden aging.



And I thought Zaraki's bankai was cool, but it was pretty anticlimatic.



What exactly is Byakuya doing there? It honestly feels like Kubo just dumped three of the most popular captains down so that people would gloss over the sudden power ups and stupid aging.

Kenpachi was cool while he lasted but it was obvious that wasn't going to be enough to take out the giant.



Hitsuguy's new power up feels so convenient.



It was enough. Kenpachi lost to himself. His body started collapsing because of too much power unleashed. When his arm broke was because of his own power, it was a hit from the giant.

It was never going to be enough. This chapter made it clear that brute force wasn't going to take him down.



I think it depends on power actually. Every time he got his shit destroyed he got up stronger but he can't be getting stronger eternally. He must have limits like everything. So when those limits are reached and still can't overpower the other guy then he will just get killed. Kenpachi probably has that power in him but he still can't use it since his body need more training to keep up with his unleashed bankai.

What NotThor did is exactly inline with what his power is.

Only one person in here referenced Thor's situation as asspull.



Kubo efficiently killed all fight related tension by ensuring us that as long as a bad guy wont show us his final power-up the duel is not over. So i can bet that virtually NO ONE thought this is it for Thor with last week pathetic cliffhanger. We could hope, but no.



As for ass pull for Hitsugaya - I would refer only to his appearance. Someone on this forum reminded me that Hitsu said something about achieving "true form" of his bankai. But his bishonen mode is a wtf - where does THIS come from???



Again, there's no final form - as long as he is not crushed in an instant, Miracle guy would keep coming back from "nearly dying".



As for Hitsugaya - we literally had precedent for that with Nel. They are souls. The way they look or their growth is not limited to biology.

Did not expect that ending. Really hoping Hitsugaya and Byakuya joke about him becoming an adult next chapter, after all the short jokes that's been happening. XD

To be honest I liked this chapter cause it's not shitty-predictable as usual.



1) I like that Zaraki is KO (or it seems) cause I don't think his Bankai is complete (obviously) cause the sword is still 'broken' etc and he's not ready to use its complete power blahblah.



2) Bankai: hit puberty! is just... I don't know, I cannot say NOPE but it's weird.

We'll see, but again and again, too much space for Hitsugaya and Zaraki which are always the same, I'm still waiting for Byakuya or Shinji's turn.



3)Ok, I don't believe that the time of Shinji will come :-(  but now that Zaraki seems of, maybe we're going to see Hitsu forcing Thor to release his Vollstandig (defeating Hitsu doing so) and then, Byakuya's new Bankai or something unpredictable.

Welp, so Gerard does have Volstanding.. Kenpachi got rekted pretty quickly.  

Perhaps Pernida is still alive, somewhere.. since he still didn't use his Volstanding yet.



Regarding Hitsugaya's powerup, no surprise there. Kubo already hinted in an interview that Hitsu's bankai training is complete. :^)

Didn't really like this chapter. Zaraki's bankai collapsed too quickly.



While Hitsugaya's complete bankai seemed to come out of nowhere. I will say some guys explained to me that it was hinted in chapter 538 he had perfected his bankai but that still doesn't explain the rose petals being the trigger.
