1) Ichigo's Bankai wasn't even legitimate, as it was forged by his Quincy soul.

2) Ichigo's outfit was part of his Bankai, thus that forgery is still bigger than his Shikai.

Sigh.. If you go by that way of thought, Zaraki even has a bigger Bankai than his Shikai, plz try to look at it without personal ego feelings, idc if you are right or wrong, just wanted to help you as you didn't get it. So Ichigo is a bad example to you? fine fine, then let's take Gin for starters. Nothing in his Bankai appearance changes. Same goes for Byakuya, Toshiro and some others. Their size stay the same, yet it is still way more powerful. If you still insist on the 'outfit' theory you got there, just ignore Byakuya and Toshiro, that still leaves Gin. Gin's Bankai is EXACTLY the same as his Shikai, except that it is way more powerful (faster, better force, better cutting power...). Still not convinced? Then let's see the most awesome of them all: Genryusai Yamamoto. His Shikai is defo larger than his rusty looking Bankai. This, or Kubo screwed up the drawing on the most epic Bankai reveal (don't think he screwed up on such an important part tbh).

These are gonna be answered both at the same time. Yes, it was a technique, which I'm sure of he had to learn to control to even be able to MAKE it a technique. For all we know, he might as well have had that as a side effect just like Kenpachi now. That's where my quote related to the post. How I see it atm, Kenpachi's red skin indicates he is in a berserkers mode, which he has no control over. Perhaps when he masters his Bankai, he will be able to control it and doing so, also stopping the red color on him from appearing, unless he decides to go full berserk mode.



You can look at it however you want to though, this is just how I look at it.

Calling Kenpachi a fodder, I said what!? I beg to differ... What really is scary to me is that Zaraki has beaten other captains shiki and bankai, espada resurrection and three sternritter with a regular sword so imagine what his bankai can really do because this is just the beginning is like ordering an appetizer... You start to much and you realize that you can’t wait for the main dish to arrive. XD

Zaraki's Bankai is exactly what you would expect but it makes the Bankai so anticlimactic. Also pretty much Ichigo's berserk hollow mode with a different coat of paint.

.... Not this again.... where did it EVER say that Bankai is supposed to be BIGGER? STRONGER/MORE POWERFUL yes, but bigger? hah hell no. That's the Shikai rule. Remember the MC aka Ichigo's Bankai? It's really small. His normal sword is in Shikai form (as he can't suppress his energy), which is obv way bigger than his Bankai form.



As for the comment on his skin, well... there ain't no rule as to what a Bankai actually does, is there..? Just like old man Yamamoto had a form where he could envelop his whole body in flames. Or just like how Shunsui can become shadows or hide in them.



Zaraki just found out about his Bankai, he has little to no control over it atm. Remember, it takes at least 10 years to get to control it perfectly. Even after the 10 years, the Bankai form continous to progress together with his master, just like Yamamoto's Bankai got different from 500 years ago (just try to remember the chapter where Yama explained this before or during his Bankai reveal)

Holy hell, Kenpachi literally tore off Gerard's arm with his mouth.  Also not only is his skin red but he also appears to have horns, so he's basically an Oni from Japanese folklore or so that's what it seems to be.



Quick but brutal chapter and the artwork was great.  Don't think the fight is over yet though and honestly I don't want it to be.  Plus with Gerard supposedly being the soul king's heart there's more to be found out about him and the soul king in general.



Also we didn't even get a name for Kenpachi's bankai this chapter, which is weird.

Well okay, that was pretty cool and quite good even if Kubo dragging it out for continuing.

Zaraki reminds me of Berserker from Fate/Stay night when his skin changes to red. Dope chapter, although I would like a little more content.
