Seriously, Kenpachi can't fight anymore? That's so disappointing.

Why doesn't Kenpachi remove his eye patch?

That was a pretty brutal chapter. That would be awesome if it is Ichigo at the end since we haven't seen him in forever..

Kenpachi losin becuz of sum plotz, fak dat sheet. Sigh. Kenpachi better stand back up in the next chapter and whip some asses.. I want no one saving Ken's ass.

Well, let's think about why Kenpachi went down in this chapter. He was trapped underground, shot, blown up, hit with god knows what else in some of the more confusing panels, thrown into outer space (where he suffered spacial decompression, which is pretty serious), and finally got NUKED at point-blank range. Even though he was still standing after all of that, he was in bad shape, as evidenced by his internal organs rupturing and his hearing being damaged.



Then we get to this chapter. First, he gets hit with a powerful surge of lightning. As pointed out elsewhere in this comments section, just 50 volts of electricity to dry skin around the heart is fatal to humans, and Candice was clearly packing more power than that in her attack. Then Meninas punched Kenpachi into the ground with enough force to crater it, and given that she can effortlessly pick up and throw a huge building, that was likely equivalent to being hit by a freight train at 80 mph. Then Candice hit him with an even MORE powerful blast of lightning; see above for why that hurts.



At this point, Kenpachi is probably injured beyond anything he's ever suffered in the series so far, hence why he can't even move. It's not so much his power level being inconsistent as it is Kubo being realistic with his ability to tank damage. Sure, he could still remove his eyepatch, but at this point, what exactly would that accomplish? In all the times he's taken it off in the series, it's never heightened his ability to ignore injuries, just made him more powerful in combat. And as for taking it off before attacking Candice, which might have made him harder to injure, he probably didn't think it was worth it yet, since he only takes it off for the strongest opponents and he hadn't yet seen what Candice could do to him.



That's my take on it, anyhow.



PS: I don't understand why all the Kenpachi fans are complaining about Kenpachi getting beaten. They need to realize that even a monster like Kenpachi has limits too. It annoys me how people think Kenpachi is invincible when clearly he's not. In addition to this, it's time for Kenpachi to step down and let someone else fight the Sternritter. If it was just Kenpachi killing them all, then it would be really boring.

Gremmy and these hoes should have been nothing to him at all. After all that hype and the training with Unohana and all the talk if he did this training and found out the name of his Sword then his power will be beyond anything......Geez. These characters are no where near the OP guns of the Quincys and Juha's lead men.



Someone actually taking advantage of Zaraki's overeliance on his tank attitude. Yes, he can take a hell of alot of punishment and can still fight after that...



But if he goes straight into another fight without getting healed at all, this can happen. He didn't even got after Yammy without getting healed all that while ago. Zaraki is tough, but if someone takes advantage of how he fights, we get this result.

Lol the way that Kenpachi was hyped after his training and all the quotes various people said before his training. He was basically SS's tank weapon of mass destruction and expected to fight the elite of Juha Bach's men or at least a go at Juha himself. Not some low class characters, and despite what has been stated about Gremmy he was far from an elite. This is too early in the rematch and already Kenpachi has been shown. The power scalling is all over the show.

we all expected to see his bankai and his eye patch taken off during the fight with gremmy and we also expected gremmy to go full out and not be a brain (stupid asspull twist)



it's like the mangaka gets tired and just says ahm ya this guy just lost somehow, figure it out for yourself i won't bother showing reasonable reasons for it





as for those quincy bitches, i like them :o

expect for that little one that has that huge mouth, that's just weird, is she supposed to be a hollow???

Also about Kenbachi yeah that was stupid. I hope he just meant "that was as far as i go using only limited power" or something because the whole hype about him being unbeatable as a small child etc and then not being able to handle two consecutive fights is just ridiculous. And why the fuck does he have the eye-batch on?

And Kenpachi is just worn out
