Oh, so deep, Gremmy couldn't simultaneously imagine both Kenpachi's body and power. WOW, most profound climax ever. It is so logical that he literally ran out of imagination after claiming that Kenpachi didn't beat his imagination but that he merely made an error in calculation.
Is Kubo intentionally riddling this arc with holes?
Why even implement the power of imagination when you can't think of a way to overpower it without being detrimental to the plot.
How is that a plot hole? Yeah, he made a mistake that led to his demise, that's the point. And it's only logical that his ability to imagine things would have limits. Otherwise he would basically be a god. It's a plot hole because his defeat had nothing to do with the limits of his imagination, he even stated it wasn't his imagination that was overpowered. Therefor it would make absolutely no sense for his imagination to essentially run out, I mean, he explicitly stated that his imagination hadn't lost him the fight.
No, he stated that his imagination did not fail to imagine all of Kenpachi's power. A few pages later he proceeds to state that it had "reached its limit," implying that the act of replicating kenpachi's power and having his body destroyed had pushed his power to its limit.
