I don't think Masaki was a Quincy, nor Ryuuken's sister, I'm not really fond of that theory, and I never was. As some people here said Quincy is similar to Fullbring, so I think Ichigo's Fullbring (or the power left from it) did a hand in these Blut Vene (= blood veins in German if anyone is wondering).

after reading some infos on Wikia about Blut Vene its a Quincy Technique lol, so Ichigo can do Quincy Techniques now too

Quincy is not a race. Its more  of a "religion"/cult/clan, with aptitude passed down generation to generation, but techniques being learnable by any spiritual aware human.



"Vaizard" is not a  race. Its a form of shinigami who has been influenced by a hollow energy.



Fullbringer is not a race. Its a form of human, who hasb een influenced by hollow energy.





Ichigo is a Human and a shinigami, who has developed hollow powers



Humans can be Quincies and/or Fullbringers, both of which are incredibly similar.

Shinigami can be shinigami or vaizards(hollow influence)





And since jinzen, Ichigo's powers mixed into a whole, instead being a hybrid.



The key is powers.



Quincy and fullbring are teachings on how to use your powers, just like shinigami arts are.

Seeing how much more powerful these new enemies are, I wonder how pointless it's become for kubo to reveal the bankais we haven't seen yet. I no longer look forward to seeing kyoraku or ukitake's bankai...all the captains seem so helpless that even this power up would be insignificant. i don't think they stand a chance against the more powerful quincies even when they learn a way to prevent them from stealing their bankai. We haven't even seen how powerful the royal guard is, but something tells me they'd just destroy any of the captains. If anything, only Aizen's bankai would be interesting to see.



I really hope this doesn't turn into another dbz where every single fight requires the main character to show up and save the day. Give the side characters some use besides warm up for the enemies.

Blut Vene? A quincy technique but how the hell?.. I'm guessing Ishida must have had something to do with it, but even so.. isn't it an 'advanced' technique??

It would be hard to believe if Ichigo became able to use that power in an instant.. need the next chapter to explain it! ><

In fact, seemingly Bach did no damage at all, except for blocking Ichigo's getsuga. And he still got one into the face at the end of the chapter.

Fullbring in the very idea reminds of quincy techniques a lot, except that it feels more like a middle-ground between shinigami arts and quincy teachings.



So Ichigo learned fullbring  and his mother was possibly a quincy, which would mean that it could possibly cause him to activate quincy like powers too.



Maybe Aizen did not want to say "child of shinigami and human"

Maybe he wanted to say "Child of shinigami and a quincy"





Another older theory is about Ichigo's birth, that Ichigo is bassically engineered in Soul King's image to possibly stand up against him(a sort of bleach version of kwisatz Haderach of dune novels) - since everything originated form soul king, that would make Ichigo a perfect "template" capable of learning anything in terms of spiritual power.





Also calling it: Ichigo will kick some ass next chapter, Bach will retreat with heavy damage and it will be revealed that they succeeded in capturing and brainwashing Ishida.
