So top quincy has a sword (and seemed to got to old man Yama's fledgling academy.



Also, it looks like Yama's bankai takes all the flames spirit power and condenses it into the sword. Just like Ichigo's eeehhh?

Shit!  Next week can't get here fast enough!  I want to see the bankai NOW!!!!

P.S can't help to feel that this is soooo rushed.

I'm glad we're going to finally see the old man's bankai, but I feel like all my excitement is for the contents of the next week's chapter. Nothing really happened this week.



It would be nice to see this set of battles animated. Or have the whole arc in a movie/special.

Because at least when Kubo had to draw his bankai he actually put some effort. This time he went full "The heart". Yamamoto's bankai looks so unimpressive and weak that, if I didn't know anything about Bleach, I'd say that the guy with a giant bamboo snake looks way more threatening than the other with a burnt piece of iron for a sword.



and now imagine that this "plain, drab sword with some crosshatching and some smoke fluttering in the air" has more power that all bankai's you showed us.

I always thought Yamamoto's Bankai would be something like Histugaya's where he wears it. Since Histugaya's is the strongest ice, I thought they'd have similar properties.
