This chapter made me kinda want the right hand not to be dead D:

I would have liked to know Chojiro’s backstory before he got killed off, but I’m no story writer so what do I know.

This was a good chapter. Kubo showed us how Choujirou became Yamamoto's right hand and how the old man looked millenias before.

Also, the bankai was good. True, the plot seems full of holes but well - it's a shounen ;p

Choji didn't use his Bankai for 200 or 2000 years?

manga panda translation error...mstream's  translation is correct

it's 2000 years not 200

Mangapanda's versions are not always right, there were translation errors in some chapters that changed the plot and created plot-holes (like the 6 over captain-level Quincy, not 16) Reading manga-stream's is always better, not only in Bleach, but in One Piece and Naruto, there were also missing pages in each of them at some weeks.

Why can`t Kubo release 30 page chapters like Hiro Mashima, I feel like so much more can be covered weekly.  Or at least fit in more content.  Though I was satisfied with this week, I still want more, a lot more. The problem lies within the publisher, WSJ allows only 16-20 pages, and 23 pages at some points. I think FT's publisher gives more freedom than WSJ. Anyway next week Bleach gets a Lead CP and Cover, so we might get 23 pages, if not 23 pages then we'll have colored pages either way.

At the begining of Bleach, when Ichigo tried to save Rukia, Choujiro Sasakibe was down by single punch from the Ichigo, and now we learn that he had a bankai 2000 years ago. WTF?

Maybe he forgot how to use it, huh..!

Ichigo is a beast. You DO know that right? The problem with him is that due to hollow self he was unable to use his full potential of powers since the power was split in two.  Thus his strength varied, as Ulquiora saying, going from measly fodder to way above Ulqi.

Ichigo did not suddenly "get" more reiatsu. He learned to use and mastered what he had. Jinzen allowed him to be at peak potential all the time and peak-Ichigo was facepalming Aizen(after several transformations and power increases) into the groupd

That makes the sokyoku accident easy to explain - Ichigo when he arrived was at the highest of his potential, with full resolve and etc, thus its normal that someone who has capability of reaching levels way above Aizen, to own some captain level oponents.

Chojiro had no time to use his bankai - had he used his bankai, we have no idea what would happen. But he most likely underestimated Ichigo's power(due to fluctuating nature of it) and paid the price by getting knocked out.

Pretty much this.

The same thing happened when he fought against Zaraki, he beat Zaraki in one single hit once he entrusted his body to Zangetsu.

Ichigo at his peak since day 1 is horribly strong.

When Renji and Byakuya came to get Rukia in the real world, Renji was pretty much scared by Ichigo's reiatsu when Ichigo wasn't even using shikai, he was in a totally unreleased state.

Also the first chapter when Rukia commented that Ichigo's sword was huge (which is caused by the host's reiatsu) when Rukia is pretty much a vice-captain level fighter.

When Ichigo countered a Cero and cut a Menos in two.

Blocking the Sokyoku to begin with is a feat on it's own.

That thing is supposed to be able to incinerate Captain class shinigami like nothing and it is said to hold the power of 1 000 000 zanpakutou. It's incomparably stronger than Yamamoto's zanpakuto.

Yet Ichigo blocked it in shikai.

Even seniors captain were shocked at the sight.

Basically Ichigo always was the strongest, since day 1. He just didn't know how to use his power and his 'power up' were only him learning to control his own power better. In his Dangai training he finally hit the wall of his power and mastered them completely.

Now in this arc Ichigo should receive his very first real powerup in the entire serie.

About Ichigo vs Nnoitra, ichigo, even in his full-health, would not have been able to win in that battle. He BARELY defeated grimmjow and afterwards encountered an espada that was definitely stronger than Grimmjow, by logic he wouldn't be able to win, which brings me to the topic of Kenpachi. How could a Kendo ability upgrade be much more significant than a bankai and hollowfication. This guy drew with a shikai ichigo, how the hell did a kendo upgrade elevate him so high in terms of power scale? why didn't he use it against Ichigo when they fought?

When you check a few chapters later the fight Uarahara had with Aizen you might understand. Urahara blocked the reiatsu outputs on Aizen wrists. I think that in one hand style Zaraki can pump half of his reiatsu into an attack or into his sword (coat sword with sharp reiatsu to cut everything) and then when you puts both hands on it he doubles the cutting power. Ichigo was exhausted after the fight with Grimmjow and his mind was somewhere else after all the crap with Inoue. Inoue was a hostage too.

Nnoitra wasn't the strongest Arrancar. He was the best armour (hardest skin). Line in the fight Zaraki and Ichigo had. Zaraki enforced his body with reiatsu and Ichigo could not cut him. Nnoitra was the same. He could not make it any stronger tho. With Kendo Zaraki made his sword sharper and able to cut Nnoitra.

Nice to see angry Yamamoto. OMG Yamamoto was young too. I was pretty sure he was old from the day he was born lol. One swing kill... This is overkill. This is how you should fight quincy. With either brute force (Zaraki) to cut their defensive blood or surprise them so they cant switch their blood to defensive (quick move from Yamamoto).

Buyakuya should have gone Bankai before showing up to the fight and then one hit the quincy with all he had. If Quincy stolen bankai is weaker than the original then Buyakuya should be fine or he was just too weak. What kind of fear killed him? Fear Rukia would die and he would be all alone (failed his promise to Hisana) or fear that he would die (unable to protect her) and Rukia would be alone?

I wish to see Buyakuya alive with Senbonzakura spirit by his side. Cheap way to die from his own Bankai. Then again Chojirou died to his Bankai as well.

Choji didn't use his Bankai for 200 or 2000 years?
