This chapter was brutal and lol at the King he is the 1st one attacking :D

Not the most climactic ending, but Ichigo gets some badass points for his surprise bankai attack.

So when the Quincy transform they look like clowns?

Meh okay chapter...still i just want Ichi to hurry and kill this guy and hurry on to a better enemy lol.

Don't liking this guy much...Bankai finally...so I expect him dead next chapter...and the war looks set to finally begin now xD Kings making the first move it seems.

@Nephilim - I heard about them in book about aliens - They were described as ugly creature(uglier than angels from old testament). So, I think, they fit image of "new quincy" more.

Another meh chapther from Kubo >.<  He should speed up the action more, getting kinda stale here.  Either that or get rid of Orihime.  At least Bleach is ending after this arc, unlike Naruto which seems like its gonna drag out another 100+ chapters; best part of the series was the Soul Society Arc, these past few arcs are so-so T_T

Angels generally did not start to be portrayed as cute little winged guys till new testament stories. Less harps, songs and all that stuff. More neon genesis evangelion.



Old Testament describes them as when in human form, always dressing in white and being highly impersonal and unfeeling. Old Testament/Hebrew angels are also associated with fire, shown to wield flaming swords and in most of cases being an archers. The "True  form" of an angel is said to be able to drive people insane by presence alone and most of descriptions of true forms range from flaming "wheels" and various geometrical figures to chimera-like creatures and screaming burning body-less six-winged heads.



Another possible parallel to quincies are nephillim, offspring of angels that intermingled with humans

Its both. His bankai compresses his reiatsu. He is the only one so far whose bankai is smaller than shikai. That compressed reiatsu is then wielded as both sword and outfit, shrouding him in his own power.
