Bleach Chapter 480 Discussion

Good to see Mayuri back in the manga, been a while

This was a nice brutal start.  Though seeing Soul Society go nuts over the disappearance of Hollows, while we see a large group of strong ones in Ichigo's town does confuse me a little.  If this really is the final arc, then I expect it to be a very long one.  So I'm willing to be patient and wait a while for all the explanations.

I can already kinda see where this is going. The Thousand-Year Blood War. I'm making making an educated guess from what Mayuri said in the start of the chapter, the hollow appearing and disappearing, and the previous Quincy war that this arc is going to do something with a war between Shinigami and Quincy.

Yes this is supposed to be the last arc. And it is supposed to contain a bunch of stuff.

aizen (just pisses me off that he didn't die)

possible return of most of the arrancars (kubo still wasn't sure but he said if they come back that includes Grimjow and Nel)

isshin+kaien (possibly related?)

Isshin + Ryukken(how they know each other)

Urahara+Yoruichi (Possible relationship?)

captains bankai's

and a ton of other stuff



Its going to be really long! And It is going to be really interesting!

Longer. We knew for a while that bleach has two arcs left "one shorter than arrancar arc, one longer than arrancar arc".



Arrancar arc lasted for around 5-6 years.



By Kubo's estimates this should be another ~7-8 years.Didn't know about Kubo's estimates, a long time indeed, thanks for sharing.

It already had me at 'final arc'. I'll suppose that this is the so-called arc that Kubo actually bothered planning ahead (putting aside Full bringers).



Well I'm going to assume that the 3 week hiatus was meant for Kubo to get the whole picture of this arc , and not to work on this chapter alone (Hey, one can hope...right?).
