So, that it's 99% sure Ginjou is dead, why did Ichigo actually kill him? I mean he hasn't killed anyone before, did he? And it didn't even seem to faze him.
Because Ginjou was a threat to what Ichigo loved. He did not do anything direct yet, but he could and he most likely WOULD. And Ginjou would not stop no matter what was in his way beacause of his resolve to do that. And Ichigo, being the one who understands opponents and conisdering Ginjou's history, Ichigo knew that he if he were in Ginjou's place WOULD have done the same thing, most likely.
Its literally was pretty much forced to kill by circumstances.
And oh it did change him. Of course he is not raging around and emoing. Because thats not what mature people do. Ichigo knows why Ginjou died and Ginjou died not because Ichigo had to kill him, but because what and how SS treated him.
Ichigo is not emoing. Why? Because he does not want to justify SS or Ginjou or name one side a villain. He knows he could not. He knows that this time there was no hero and no villain in this piece, just circumstances. That its not as "clear-cut" as SS captains tried to make it sound this chapter.
In this chapter, Ichigo pretty much made it clear. I mean, he entered into ss without notice, he pretty much highlighted the still existing FEAR of him and what he would do and could do and he clearly exclaimed that not only he DOES NOT despise Ginjou, but that SS has no right to actually bury him, Ginjou is not some criminal mastermind of evil. He is just a "mere substitute Shinigami", they looked down and tried to control....just as this one "mere substitute shinigami" that stands in front of them and that made them fear enough to gather all the big guns as "welcome" party.
And while Ichigo still has no reason to do anything to SS and still considers people there as sort of friends, it was pretty much his goal to show them that he knows who's fault this whole fb thing was.
Ichigo, with his actions this chapter, pretty much "disrespected" SS in most mature possible way, without crossing a line, in a sense.
Ginjou's death and situation , in a sense made Ichigo grow as adult, as a person and as character. How much? Remains to be seen.
