Mahou Sensei Negima! Chapter 54 Discussion

That's surprising. Asuna knows both Negi's dad and another member of his group from her childhood. That added with her magic-negation ability... all of it seems like foreshadowing something. What exactly it is though, i have no idea.

At least it seems like we now know where Asuna's fascination with older men started. Probably.



The rest of the chapter was fun, though Asuna and Eva's slapstick routine stood out to me from the rest. there's just something inherently hilarious about somebody one-shotting a person, who about two chapters ago herself eliminated the strongest enemy, to have appeared in the manga till now in the manga, in one-shot. XD

                        Wish I commented on some earlier chapters, the enormous break I took between reading this chapter & the last was so huge I forgot a lot of the content prior. Then again, it's not like the content was all that memorable, the Kyoto arc was decent but nothing spectacular with an anti-climatic conclusion. This chapter didn't really add much to anything except quickly setting-up Negi as Eva's apprentice.
