You need a license to drive, and that's to verify that you'll uphold safety with superb driving skills — a parent is directly responsible for how a child turns out to be, it's a responsibility far greater than just driving (a child can turn out a murderer or kill themselves because of bad discipline, for example). You are directly involved in how they'll process things once they're older, so do a proper job and make sure they can live like they're supposed to.
