GetBackers Chapter 215 Discussion

                        Well, I can see why this was still tied to the Eternal Bond arc, but this little end off was really nice. It's great the Emishi managed to get some closure, with both the virtual reality and evil eye. The damn good dream was a pretty good send-off.



Overall, the Eternal Bond arc has got to be my favorite of the GetBackers arc so far. I do think the antagonists were ultimately more interesting in Divine Design, and perhaps the plot was more interesting. But I do like a lot of the character stuff here with Ginji and Ban's relationship, Kabuto working as a villain really surprised me, and it helps that this arc actually had deaths that stuck, with both Genshu and Amon's. We got to see another side to Akabane and Himiko got to win a fight big fight on her own without needing to be saved by Ban (I mean that did happen at one point, but she made up for it later). I kinda wish she wasn't naked when she did it, but it felt more like nudity than sexualization so I didn't find it as big of a deal there.  Well, maybe I'm speaking with too much recency bias in announcing it as my favourite, but so far that's where I stand.
