Hikaru no Go Chapter 1 Discussion

I'm guessing this Honinbo Shusaku must be Sai?

                        I don't know how this can be good but so far it's ok

for some reason i found the anime version little better. maybe because it's late but i felt the story didn't developed much, and hikaru's reasoning to learn go in dark.

Nice way to start things off in the manga. Hikaru finds the Go board and gets imbued with the spirit of Sai who wants to continue playing Go until he discovers his divine move. I like Sai and how he's originally from another period of Japanese history. So some historical stuff will make this board game manga much more interesting imo.

Hikaru punking that guy who was picking on weaker players was super funny. Let see where this takes us.
