There are still 50 chapters till the end and  L is dead already... What a drag...

and so L dies at least with the knowing light is kira, what a great death.



the how to use after this chap is always surprise me, that only those who can saw the shinigami can see the death note after the shinigami got killed.

His death was unexpected since there was no rain scene (his death flag) like in anime.

RIP L, Rem,  and Watari...



I'm sort of glad Light gave L that shiteating smile before his death, only because L got to die with his suspicions confirmed.



Very curious where this manga will go now. Light is pretty much in an invincible spot right now.

The real turning point for the story is here !

This was huge and a surprise.  I am really excited that Ryuzaki and Watari are dead.  It was nice that Ryuzaki knew that Light was Kira as he died.



I am really looking forward to the new direction that this manga is going to go in.  The whole phase where he was locked up was a little restricted.  I want to see where it goes next.

I heard second half is better in the manga then anime so I’m excited for the next chapters.

I agree that the anime made L's death more impactful, even though I liked the way it was done in the manga. I wanted more reactions, and more than just 5 pages of the exact moment.

Now, a lot of people say Death Note stopped being good the moment L died, but I never found that to be true, it always got more interesting in my eyes. But yeah, I'll agree that L's character has more charm to him. I really want to see how they do things during the second half of the manga as well.
