D.Gray-man Chapter 243 Discussion

Seeing the Level 1 Akuma after so much time brings back nostalgia. It's funny how they're portrayed here as super creepy, destructive beings, when at this point of the manga they're pretty much fodder. Wonder if those people were Akuma to begin with or were turned into Akuma due to the Earl's presence (that would make him even more OP).



Everyone in the circus gets decimated (including that asshole Cosimov). What I wonder is what Apocryphos gets out of this, since the Earl and the Akuma are beings of Dark Matter, that is harmful to Innocence. I guess it is something related to Mana and the Earl merging or something.



Speaking of the Earl (or the Earl suit in this case), I think the one in this chapter isn't complete, as he doesn't talks at all through it. Likely, he needs to absorb Mana in order to become sapient. Only God knows what he intended to do with Allen before Cross arrived (Cross still a chad, as always).



Next chapter should be interesting. I just hope it gets as many pages as this one.
