Actually my first thought was: "Oh the weird creepy cardinal guy is the Heart (having his creepy hand and all and what's more saying he's going to heal Allen - whatever he means saying "heal" ... -.-")."
But may be that I was preoccupied with the whole Lavi-situation. I waited for him to appear again like ... month, yeah, actually ... and now this!
Take Naruto, Pandora Hearts or D.Gray-Man - in every one of them my number one favourite character is in some really deep shit now. What the hell?
I really want to have the next chapter - with an awesome bookman-plot and someone to reassure me that Lavi's going to be saved! Pretty please?

And imma say this right now. Lenalee is fucking epic. She's not a crybaby (the times she has cried she's had every reason TO cry, but she still gets up and doesn't let it keep her down, and she emerged stronger and better than ever after her ordeal with losing touch with her innocence, it's called CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT). And even if Lenalee DOES have the Heart like this chapter and previous ones have implied it doesn't mean she's going to take Allen's place as the series' main protagonist. So everyone CALM THE FUCK DOWN. kthx.
I agree with you. A lot of people seem to hate Lenalee, especially during the Ark arc because she became "weak". Which doesn't make sense, since she defeated a lvl 3 that Lavi couldn't even put a SCRATCH on, and was willing to give up her life for it. She miraculously survived, but at the price of her legs. She could barely walk, and people expect her to fight? And, like you said, she has every reason to cry. Her friends were out there, fighting and getting killed (well, no one died, but she didn't know that) and she literally was unable to do anything. And she did try, like when she was captured in Road's dice-box, and she tried kicking the walls until her legs started to bleed. That's called effort and determination, not weak.
Many people also seem to dislike her because everyone likes her and she wears a short skirt? Everyone likes her because she's so considerate and nice to everyone. If any one of us knew her, we'd probably all get along with her too. And she wears a short skirt/shorts because her dark boots go up to her mid thigh. She literally needs as much mobility as possible. (And she wears shorts underneath the skirts, as it says in the fanbook, and there's an omake about it...)
(Pfft, that was kinda long. :P)
Also, a lot of people seem to think that Lenalee's the heart. I mean, she could be, but it never says that she IS. The Cardinal just says that, "Everyone is worried about Allen, especially the Heart." Lenalee is really worried about Allen, just like Krory, Miranda, Reever, Marie, and the rest of the gang. That doesn't mean she's the heart. I personally think that Hoshino was trying to hint that there might be someone else out there that is the heart, who is maybe watching from the shadows...? Also in chapter 158, the Earl talks about the heart as if it's not Lenalee OR Allen. As if there's someone else hiding who's pulling the strings...? (Or not. Meh, I dunno.)
BUT I WILL NOT ACCEPT THAT KANDA IS DEAD. He's not dead. HE IS NOT DEAD. I think the people of central/vatican just assume he's dead, because of the state of Mugen. But it would be odd if Kanda is just KILLED OFF right in the middle of the series. He's one of the four main characters, and second most popular. HE CAN'T BE DEAD. *Falls unconscious due to vein popping*
Fiddler's tongue is really... creepy. *shudder* Hoshino really god that creepy... just, nasty look spot on. T.T And it seems as though Bookman had an apprentice before Lavi that was killed by the Noah when he was close to them up until 35 years ago. That should be interesting. I just hope Lavi doesn't meet the same fate as Chaoji... D:
