D.Gray-man Chapter 196 Discussion

This chapter has so much carnage.

Hoshino seems to like blood and gore, or beating the characters up so badly within the art ;p lol

Makes me cringe a bit.

It was somehow easier to understand, or maybe i just got used to her drawing?

Kanda has turned Super Sayan 5th Illusion on Alma, and he got pretty insane, i'm not surprised if he will start attacking Allen next since he got in the way.

and everyone is starting to look like each other, i can only identify Allen by his curse, like the curse is there? great then that's Allen.

same page with everyone on wtf is going on and so hard to tell people apart + appearances of people i dont remember. so close to dropping this, and i still read naruto/bleach, that's saying alot.

I liked the chapter and I understand the whole plot, the problem is the artstyle, it was so blurred for me,  mean you can't understand the actions that have taken place in each panels and like kch33 said , you'll going to wonder if they were still alive. especially the part between alma and kanda.

Really? i think it's still good, nothing is worse then leaving your work unfinished.

Nooo not cancelled :/ the art may be off, but there's still so much that I want to know, like the bookman, the past of the order, 14th and Allen, Mana :( oh and the heart, but that's alright.

I don't think this should be cancelled. It was one of the first manga I started following weekly and now monthly, and I'm hoping that the next arc will make more sense, considering this arc has been going on for all long time because of the switch from weekly to monthly.



I still really want to see what happened to Cross, and since it's only once a month it's not really worth dropping.

I agree, it's a bit chaotic. I don't think it's ugly or anything, but it's hard to understand. this chapter was easier to understand though --thank goodness

Yeah, you've completely lost the plot. Somehow I severely doubt "staying by his side" was meant in a romantic fashion (omfg, Squick and No Yay). The Earl means that he will work with or for the 14th, instead of trying to kill him.



I really liked this chapter, the art style was a quirky mix of bold and gritty, and every panel demanded attention. I would have liked for Allen to join the Noahs! Everyone's been patiently waiting and hoping for it to happen!

                        Ok, I'll admit that I understood only half of what's going on here. It's all so confusing with the recurring characters whose names and roles I can't remember anymore and the poor drawings. What I do know is that Allen must stop both Kanda and Alma. A tall order but let's see if he can pull this off.

Too much unnecessary detail on the imagery---especially the background.

Makes objects hard to identify EWW

Goddammit, Allen. Always the moral compass. :|



I'm glad I'm not the only one having trouble telling who is who anymore. Other than that, I'll be happy when this is over so we can have a calming period between chapters (hopefully).
