I still haven't learned who all the new chapters are. The noahs, the exorcists(? if they are exorcists)... fkasfjkajf, I'm wishing for some kind of character summary.

Kanda is the most focused on, but aside from the flashbacks, I really don't think he's the biggest focus. The present seems more about the Noah's plan and Alma. Either way, I don't mind Kanda getting a lot of attention since practically every other character has had a fair amount of focus by this point, except Kanda. I got sick of knowing nothing about him lol. And I do like that his back story is still very much tied into the plot. I can see how this arc would feel drawn out if the chapters don't strike them as emotionally impacting. That's the main reason I found myself enjoying the arc as much as I have.

Finally flashback's over...



I'm starting to forget everyone's names and roles now. Like the one Allen punched, those people trapped, and those who saw the flash outside. This is what happens when it shifted to monthly and the past chapters are flashbacks. But at least we returned to the real world and something big happened. Wonder what Alma's gonna do once he finds Kanda.



Feels too short...

I love the art (then again, I don't really see a difference with the old art) and I think the story's better than it's ever been before. I mean, there's actually a plot coming together now instead of just having it be Exorcists vs Noah. A very confusing plot maybe, but a plot nonetheless. More blood and angst (and more Kanda *ahem*) makes me very happy. This feels like the final story arc to me, so of course it's getting more expository and more intense. Don't see what people are complaining about. The darkening of the story's tone made me raise my score from an 8 to a 9.

i / loved / the flashback chapters but its nice to be back in the present~
