Besides, I guess that Al might actually drop dead immediately when he gets his body back.

That's what I thought when I saw that body of his for the first time o.O

Even I think the same, and I've a feeling that even Al knows it but he'll still want it back

Don't forget Oda. He is also pushing it to the max.

I don't see the big deal for the after math, if they some how make it out of this, and Roy became the fhurer, he want's to take responsibility for the Massacre of Ishibal, so it will end up with him dead, blind or not. That's if he continue on his own path of Martyrdom

Someone speculated that maybe after Roy becomes furher and restores democracy, his successor should have him and his team pardoned for their crimes in Ishbal.  Interesting idea.  I don know if it will come to pass, because it doesn't quite fit with the concept of "endure, but don't forgive" that the manga's been dealing with.

Another Peak chapter,This makes sence 5 points on the circle of the big transmutation circle , is also the 5 different taboos done by 5 people who did human transmutation , interesting ,and finally we get Alphonse meeting his body for the first time

Indeed one of the most depressing FMA chapters... Roys Blind - Al body reject - nameless vs nameless etc

But Roy being blinded sigh I feared something like this.

Oh and

I dont hate bradley  BUT I was a bit "WHY ARENT YOU DEAD" as I wanted Ling/Greed to finish him

Well  whos to say what will happen by the end we might wind up with everyone with 'normal' bodies again.  Unknown

Awesome chapter!!!  Alphonse was kind of stupid to leave his body, but that will make things more interesting.  If Al gets his body back and Ed gets his arm and leg, does that  mean everyone else can get what they lost back?  Could Roy get his eyes back?  When Ed went through the gate again, the truth had his arm and leg if I remember correctly, so maybe the Truth is willing to forgive them.  Can't wait for the next chapter!!!

The truth is cruel. A pair of brothers who abandoned reason and tried to ressurect their departed mother, seeking her warmth once more... One loses a leg to stand on and his only remaining family, the other the ability to feel the warmth he so desesperately missed. A woman who tried to take back her dead child, only to end up with a body that will never again nurture the seed of life. A man with a grand vision to save his country loses his eyesight, forever unable to see what his beloved nation will become..

This is why I love this so much. This manga is purely a masterpiece.

And Al is putting his body on hold. May the fight of the namless warriors begin.

what an EPIC chapter!!

Roy losing his eyes was even a greater shock than Alphonse rejecting his body.

AAAAAAL <3

That was awesome of him. Really. To give up something he's wanted for so long...

And man, Roy losing his eyesight was just brutal. Very unexpected. I thought he'd lose something like an arm.

Great chapter, as always. Arakawa is brilliant.
