Viva the QUALITY art.

Seems like Togashi didn't have enough time to meet the deadline...

It took me forever to realize that was Kite. Chimera Ants sure grow up fast. Wonder what their life span is. The art was bad. I think this will make an excellent anime scene. I was wondering if that Pink Koala ever died and how many chimera ants were left.

the fuck did i just read an omake?

I agree with you this far.  The art is forgivable; Togashi's proven he cleans it up brilliantly before the volume releases.  The conversation was a bit out of left field, but I can see how it might be relevant in the future and that it's an interesting concept to think about if nothing else.

What really got me was the characters.  I thought, when I started reading, that this was a chapter that got rejected from the Chimera Ant arc.  I'm still not sure what exactly it's getting at or why Kaitou's a girl.  What would have worked better was a conversation between the roulette clown and Kaitou regarding the 'I can't die this way' power, I think.

I want to say hopefully next week will make sense of this, but it seemed that Kaitou said his farewell to Gon in the whole contact me/I'll contact you bit.  For a reunion with so much emotion in its backstory, this chapter failed miserably.

To be honest, I really thought it was Kanary when they mentioned the red hair...  This chapter's just all over the board.

How's talking about souls anywhere near scientific? He's just expanding the HxHverse. and it's been done since ever, Nen itself is more complex than any other Aura-related system.

Having a character like that tell such an important piece of informatioin in such a way was really nice :D

i am not sure what i just read but the author lost me there. getting overly complicated like that is really not good for the continuity of the story. this is a manga, no need to get overly scientific. there is only so few stories that pull that off so well, this one isn't one of them. i surely hope he doesn't lose the momentum he gained from the previous arc.
