I can't quite remember but i think in the original anime or in the ova someone explained the type of hatsu Leorio uses. If anyone remembers plz tell me
Well, I remember in the York Shin Arc, Leorio was shown to only master "Ten" at that time. But, it was known (or he mentioned, idk, I forgot the specifics) that his "Hatsu" type is Emission.

Oh, a "dark horse" candidate means "a little-known person that emerges to prominence in an election". In the 1st to 3rd election of the 13th Chairman, Leorio's name didn't even get a vote or, maybe got 1-2 votes. However, in the 4th election after he hit Ging, his name rose up in the ballots and even got 55 votes! It was totally unexpected.

Could Leorio be the "dark horse candidate" of the election for the 13th Chairman?!
This was exactly what I was thinking too. How he went to the meeting and in front of everyone, he hit Ging (did you notice how everyone was cheering afterwards?) Wonder if the author will go that route....

IMO, Ging let Leorio hit him on purpose [...]
Exactly what I thought, too. Ging doesn't want to be chairman, but also doesn't want Pariston to get the job (I hate that guy too, somehow).
So maybe he let Leorio hit him, so he could join the vote-battle.
btw, some dudes said, that Togashi would go on hiatus in decembre, AGAIN.
Anyone got proof on this? Please don't. ._.

Ehhh? Oh so it was just a term that I didn't know about. Guess it's used mostly in politics lol I feel dumb. Thanks, now I've learn a new term :)

Well I loved it because it's awsome having Leorio back, not too sure if I would like him as the Hunter Association Chairman though. The other thing I hate is that now Gon is the percieved "weakest" of the four main characters. I honestly don't give a rat's ass if Leorio did hit Ging with his vortex punch, Gon would still kick his ass 9/10. I would also argue that Gon is stronger than Kurapika when Kurapika is not in Emperor Time mode. I love the new chapters and their awsome, kind of remind me of the two times Yusuke died in Yu Yu Hakusho but that shouldn't be suprising since Togashi reuses a lot of elements from YYH. I just hope Gon comes back soon because I'm sick of seeing the damn curtains and not him. Plus the last time we actually saw Gon he was a grown ass man in kids clothes which was just ridiculous, I wasn't a big fan of the forcable aging. I just don't want to see Togashi do to Gon what he did to Leorio and Kurapika, because Gon is the driving point behind the story since he is the main character. Him and Killua pretty much make up most of the awsome stuff in the series. Anyways, my long rant is over and I will finish it with THANK YOU for brining Leorio back, It's always good seeing Killua around, HOPEFULLY Kurapika will be coming back into the story, and HOPEFULLY Gon comes back soon before we get another case of what happened to Leorio and Kurapika.

i mean janken is great but this one has a much longer range
anyway Kurapika and Killua are stronger atm
also gon being abscent is great
look at yorkshin- it was all about kurapika and it was awesome!!
that's what is great about HxH- they focus on all characters(they don't suck up to the main character) unlike goku and naruto who just become stronger than everybody and everyone else becomes useless and the story becomes cliche and predictable-
Gon being weak is what makes me like him- he doesn't rely on his OPness
so i hope we get a break from gon for this arc :)
