That was a short chapter it felt. Gon is an adult, but according to Pitou he can never use Nen again. Can you say 'Super Saiyan'?

I dunno, felt kind of weird that whole transformation. But then again, maybe it has to do with Gon being reinforcement. Being to adjust his body and all.

Edit: Also, it seems this is really the end for Kaito as well

Super Saiyan? is there ever a manga that uses ki/chi/lifeforce/aura/nen/other thats not compaired to this???

nothing new with reinforcement types bing able to change their bodys look at their master? back in the game she turned in to a huge ugly hulk looking thing... then after she changed back into her child shaped person

and as he was using it to make him grow why whouldnt his hair also grow? it makes sense this way

end to his ability to use nen?  well when u use more then ur capable to normal you'll burn your self out and theres punishment for such things

like with the chain guy in exchange for more power then he himself was capable off he had to swear to use it only for x and if not he would lose his life ect...

so if this power is above his ability (is it?) then he will pay the price for using it

I'm not saiyan super saiyan because nen resembles ki. I'm saying super saiyan because of the insane powerup, obviously.

Which, don't get me wrong, is far from an insult. Hell, both HxH and DBZ are in my top 5 list. I love super saiyans. And I also said it could be because of reinforcement.

Just the fact that, as others pointed out, everyone was looking forward to an epic fight where Gon and Killua struggle to overcome Pitou. But all he did was a Jajanken and "poof", Pitou snapped in half.

I understand the fight being anticlimactic for some. Hiatus is the main problem. Years for a one chapter fight.

What I like the most about this transformation it's the fact that Gon used his own power, not some external influence like Ichigo (full of mixed races), Naruto (Kyuubi), Yusuke (go daddy go), but his own talent, an acknowledge talent by others experienced nen users. Plus, he wasn't beaten the hell out to suddenly achieve this power, the transformation is a consequence of a broken person, with broken heart and mind. He was pure hatred toward his opponent.

What impresses me is Gon not losing his consciousness. He acts bad and he know it. There isn't excuses for his behavior, Gon has the capability of being bad. He gave up life, nen, a natural talent, just to destroy his enemy.

In my opinion, and that's just my opinion, it's not random power up. Togashi used his solid system created in HxH, forcing maturation of Gon.

By the way, this Gon vs Pitou thing was better executed on anime. More suspense, surrealism, and tragedy

Lol, HxH is becoming more random each week. Let's predict what will happen in the next few chapters. I'll start... Ikarugo will defeat the King in the next 3 chapters. Manga ends.

This is the way I felt. I expected so much more from this fight. I guess they just need Gon to be the one to kill the king maybe? The way this being foreshadowed as Gon being too dangerous to the king, maybe we should have seen this coming? I didn't though! XD
