Hunter x Hunter Chapter 265 Discussion

Agreed!  While it seemed Netero's  backstory was randomly thrown in to take up more space and another chapter that could be advancing the action, it was extremely informative as to why the old guy's so darned powerful.  There's no way Togashi-sensei can hold off the action any longer; the next chapter will be beautiful.

Those two last double pages are beautiful. I just love how the layout is exactly the same but the at the same time everything have changed. Youpi goes from surprised to menacing, and grows some extra arms. Morel activites his ability. Shoot, Gon and Killua get ready to fight. Knuckle and Meleoron are already a bit up the stairs. And the nen dragons rain down. Absolutely brilliant.

wow, so netero is pushing about 110...no wonder they say he was always a geezer, lol

Pretty impressive, I think I slightly prefer Netero's short backstory in the anime though. It went on for a longer period of time but I feel it got better across that something is kind of "off" about the old man. Still, the stuff like Pitou using Dr. Blythe to stop his speed and the shot of him looking free-falling as the arrows hit the palace is really memorable. The double shot of the team seeing Youpi and then the next page of the arrows hitting down was fantastic as well.

ditto. Netero's backstory was indeed very interesting. it seems that he's been pwning people for the last 60 years. the next chapters should be epic when we see the other Royal Guards joining the action.

                Interesting bit of backstory on Netero to start with in this chapter. Looks like Pitou isnt quite dead yet, but isn't going to be in any kind of position to stop the invasion of the main group. The last 2 double pages... wow. Very awesome. Once again, cannot wait for next week's chapter.
