The King saying it is his right to end lives on a whim only to save Komugi from the Eagle or whatever it was and show visible, genuine concern for her safety is one of my favorite moments of the series. It's interesting how, in the previous chapter, the bird took off as he had come to that realization that I mentioned at the start of this post, almost like fate itself is conspiring against him, I think, lying to himself.
Killua and the others wondering about what caused Pitou to let down her en a few days ago, and them edging closer and closer to the "something wrong" nagging in the back of Killua's mind is pretty good stuff as well.
