It's this moment where you can easily understand why this shounen is just different and way too well written to be classified the same as fairy tail for example ~

It's really great how Gon had gone into this match expecting to lose, but is still trying his hardest to grow. Love it so much.

Our first nen battle, and it's a great one. It isn't all that complex yet but nen certainly adds an element of strategy.



I really like how Gon learns Zetsu by himself, and it makes sense that he would. And Gon risking his life just to train is a good example of him being reckless and self-destructive. He knows he won't win and still goes against Wing's orders.



I also love it when Killua punches the random guy in the audience.

Oof Gon is getting his ass beat .

                        A great fiftieth. I love this part of the Gido fight, Gon using his zetsu to keep fighting works great on two levels. One because it was foreshadowed back during the Zevil Island portion of the Hunter Exam & two, because it digs into Gon's character. He's risking serious injury, perhaps even death just to continue fighting for as long as possible. Especially telling because he doesn't particularly gain anything from doing this.
