Kozure Ookami Chapter 55 Discussion

The talismans are such a smart idea. I wonder if Daigoro will see them though.

                        The beginning of this chapter was nice to see because Itto is thinking about his son Diagoro and you can tell he misses him. Despite living in meifumado and not being a father who shows his son love, he still cares for him greatly and is worried about his well being. He paints a bunch of pages of his cart to post them along his path so that Diagoro can see them and know where to go to find him.

A group of martial arts students end up seeing the pages and try to figure out what the meaning behind it is and who is posting them. They end up seeing that Itto was the person posting them, so they follow him and end up witnessing him kill a man who was helping the Kurokuwa. Appalled by his actions, the try to act tough and say they're going to take Itto to an encampment for his crime. Itto pays them no attention, so they draw their swords, but Itto looks past them to see that Kurokuwa ninjas are approaching. Fortunately for these guys, Itto was gracious enough not to kill them. He uses the back of his sword to knock them all out and runs toward the Kurokuwa to kill them all. Then he kindly puts the group of boys in the shade up against the mountain and leaves. These guys should have just minded their business in the first place.
