Ouran Koukou Host Club Chapter 25 Discussion

                        Wow. This is playing out way different than it did in the anime (though I realize the anime switched it up so that they could end the series, since the manga was still being published at the time). Mainly the part with Kyouya and his dad, which is basically the opposite of what happened in the anime.

I must say, it was slightly inconsiderate of Haruhi to assume that Tamaki had a mother. She no longer has a mother, after all.

Oh wow, The manga really is different from the anime.

I’d imagine that Haruhi is not used to the idea that other kids her age may be motherless just like her, so in this case I felt she was more so naive and ignorant rather than inconsiderate. I don’t think she was being malicious asking Tamaki about his mother, especially when she’s used to everyone around her having both parents present. Realistically she should’ve just not have asked, but honestly who is anyone to know if both parents are in everyone’s lives. She’s a teenager who’s not gonna know any better other than the life she’s used to. Most people automatically assume everyone has parents anyway. I don’t have a mom either but I’m not gonna be offended if people don’t know that.
