Diagoro is something else. For being a three year old child, he's such a strong and brave little cub. I liked how he was target practicing by throwing icicles at a flower. That was a good way for him to pass the time while training himself. Smart boy. His will to live and to follow his father's way of meifumado is incredible to see. When Itto was ready to duel with the widow of a man he had previously killed, Diagoro fell through the ice and into the water. The woman was baffled that Itto wouldn't help him, so she tried to use her chain from her weapon to help him, but Diagoro realized that there was a reason his father did not come to his rescue, so he rejected the help and fought for his own life. He was able to escape the frigid water and conquer death in that moment.
I'm kind of surprised Itto went easy on the woman who requested the duel. I mean it's not like he needed to try, but he even allowed her to strike a blow on him. That was to satisfy her need to strike a blow against her husband's killer, but he also satisfied her desire to be with her husband once again by taking her life. She found life in death.
