Gamma and Elwood get caught up in a robbery. We are introduced to Smith who is able to go up against Gamma on equal terms. Elwood gets captured (again), so Gamma decides to go along with their orders, but his real motive is to steal their rings when he's in their base. Smith learns where the rings are located and shoots the guy guarding the cells. So he's most likely Gamma's partner. Nice little scheme they have here.
