This is pretty exciting for me, there's not much more past this point from the Dragon Ball portion that I remember seeing, so I'm looking forward to a bunch of new stuff. As for this arc concluding, the tournament arc was likely stronger than the series first arc, mostly due to being more of a serialized effort and for the strength of Roshi vs. Goku.
so in the end, roshi won the fight, goku owned the prize, LOL
this arc was great, little leak in "meat" in the story, but it's the arc to build the bones and meat for next upcoming arc to concentrate in more action long stories, than short gag stories.
The 21st tournament arc is a step up from the first arc, which was already great. It's getting a bit more serious with a bigger focus on fighting and character. Kuririn is a great introduction to the serious and one of my favourite characters at this point. His relationship with Goku is great. Roshi is also a lot more interesting here, with him being the kind mentor and strong fighter and not just the horny old man.
And after introducing more new characters and leaving of the original main cast, Goku does the same thing once again.
