Poor Yamcha, I wanted to see him battling Goku in this tournament.

Starting volume 4, this is one of my most well-read and damaged. I really liked this tournament and all the fighting.



This is pretty much the first serious fight in the series, and I like how they never actually connect. Yamchu gets the role of building up a new upcoming threat.

Shame for Yamcha. I think this is the first fight in the series that I wouldn't qualify as primarily gag-centric, but unfortunately it's not really there for anything other than to build up Jackie Chun in this tournament. It worked, but still, poor Yamcha.

There it is!

When I was ten years old, my mom bought me the fourth volume of Dragonball, my first manga ever!! I have read this volume dozens of times and have a special affection for this one. It feels so good reading it twenty years from then.

Damn Yamucha didn't even touch Jackie Chun and Jackie Chun didn't even touch Yamucha but he managed to win styllies.

Jackie Chun looks familiar, but I can't remember where I've seen him before.
