Ah, this is the tournament arc I've seen some of, looking forward to seeing it in full and revisiting some classic battles. I liked how this chapter built up Bacterian at least, none of the other new fighters really get much to work with outside of Jackie Chun and Ran who only get brief one-panel jokes. which I suppose is why Namu & Ran are scheduled against each-other, they've got the least about them so there match can presumably build them up, while all the other matches have at least one contestant we're familiar with.

I love how Giran looks, typical badass Toriyama saurus!

We get close to the first real tournament fights of the series. I like the way the characters are introduced so easily and quickly in just one chapter. The spread on the final pages with the fighters is great.

Why did Goku and Kuririn climb over the wall, they could have just jumped over it or on it.



And too bad for Yamucha.. He has to fight Jackie Chun! The Announcer's Grandpa! I mean look at that hair. It's the same thing. The announcer will definitely rig the "refereeing"

And damn, Goku eating so much food before a fight. He's some sort of FREAK!!
