I don't really remember the fight with Grandpa Gohan so vividly, though I certainly didn't recall it ending right after there. My interest in revisiting this wasn't so much the fight anyway, which on the hold was pretty good. The Kamehameha (from both), the tail grab, they seemed a bit on equal footing at the beginning. Nothing remarkable, but probably one of the better fights so far I suppose.
Nah, what I wanted to see, what I remembered was their meet-up afterwards. Dragon Ball isn't the most heart-warming series really, and while I wouldn't say this is among the most touching moments in the medium or anything like this, this is one of the best from Dragon Ball. I love these pages, from Goku's shocked expression as he begins to figure it out, to the panel in the upper left corner. With the tear appearing and, in my favorite detail, the lighter shading on the eyes, especially on the lower end, as if they colour was being diluted by the tears. Then the exuberant Goku embraces his Grandpa. It's a great moment.
