Takasugi was epic in this chapter

I can already imagine how that end scene is gonna pan out in the anime. Imagine the teaser they gave, total silence, only footsteps. Slowly revealing what happened and cut out to an emotional ending song.

Oh damn... this is rought, i mean, what, since how ? is he just took the conrol recently or did he was that Takatsuro all the time since he got the heart ? i'm pretty confused right now.. in the right way !



Exactly what i need to forget the big disappointment from the last ep of GoT...



still hope that Takasugi can comeback, well he can die after, but comeback for a last word, as himself.. i still take it if he just comeback, i don't feel like he fully deserv it compare to some other char.



wait and see, and hope as great as allways from sorachi, whom never disapoint me until now.

Let me grab some breath here. I was not expecting such a turn of events. It just took over Takasugi's body?! Not like this! I am exhausted from reading this chapter. The final few panels as Gintoki witnessed Takasugi's face changing to Shouyou's in the blink of an eye with Shouyou's lifeless body lying on the rubbles just there! I am speechless.



Mindblown!



Edit: I want to add here that somehow it felt like Sorachi is pushing for a Tae-ending. She had always been the one closely tied to important events and this time we are seeing the same.

What an emotional chapter, I guess this is the end of Takasugi as well...next chapter is going to be goddamn hype!

Reread the chapter again and just came to say: what a phenomenal chapter! I don't care what anyone says, Sorachi should keep doing this series as long as possible and drag it and drag it until there's nothing left because I love this fucking greatness that is GOATama and have complete faith in Sorachi to keep delivering it in spades as he always fucking did. That is all.

Why 28 pages ?

They announced that this chapter will have 100 pages

I can't stop thinking this... What the heck happened ?



I thought Takasugi was about to "rot" as planned then, hasn't changed and still wanted to destroy the world but he suddenly changed into Utsuro.



I thought this chapter was the last one so when i saw it was only 29 pages, i was surprised.



Anyway, this is not over yet and i hope we won't wait 3 other months. Oh well, i will wait. Because it's Gintama after all.

Nice twist, in a sense this fight is giving the best of both worlds.



But what an emotional roller coaster this arc has been...

Wasn’t expecting such a great chapter, maybe the most shocking one of the series. The silence in the last panels was grandiose. Seems like we’ll have a really great end for this masterpiece. Now lets just hope that Takasugi will not revive (even though it’s my favorite character), and that the anime adaptation will be as good as Shogun+Shinsengumi arcs.
