Gintama Chapter 679 Discussion

Ah, so this chapter basically explains most of the situation. After Utsuro was defeated and fell into the Altana, Utsuro would've reappeared at one of the Altana's dragon holes. Gintoki spent the last two years searching every hole for any Utsuro remains. He left the Yorozuya since this is a matter between a master and a disciple.
Oh boy, and this all means that after the Altana disintegrated Utsuro, he flowed as Altana somewhere else, and formed into a baby. So now, Utsuro was reborn again, and his endless cycle will still go on. Gintoki's whole goal was to kill any Utsuro remain, but he can't bring himself to kill the baby Utsuro (damn, shit got dark real fast). And with Utsuro's fast growth, he's already a little kid now (of similar age as child Gintoki). Looks like child Sougo more than anything :P
What used to be a master-disciple relationship became a disciple-master relationship. But still, the child Utsuro Shoyo still has most of his memories back. Those last couple of pages were ;_;

5/5I really wonder why he has a heart now though lol, and I wonder if the Tendshou will try to do something(if they're alive like the rumors say) to kill or use this new Shouyou, and I wonder what will Takasugi do with this
and this is not even counting the Katsura and Shinsegumi stuff(which I think is all a act to get weapons to fight the Tendshou or the goverment that is still corrupt)
And we still haven't seen yagyuu, yoshiwara, reaper, or sachi yet

Yeah is rather disappointing given how the last chapters have been more suited for proper discussion but oh well. (I didn't know we had already gone through part 2, when was it?)I think it's Part 1 the end of the battle of Kabuki(day time), while Part 2 is more of the battle with utsuro and space, and part 3 is the timeskip)
Well I personally felt all that as one entire part, whereas this timeskip truly feels like a part of its own.
True I guess I'm looking more from the anime perspective. The war is for me divided in a more comedic part (first half) and then the more serious half (second half, at night). But you are right that the post TS part feel like a new arc entirely
