Gintama Chapter 664 Discussion

I'm already tearing in buckets here.

He was one of my animu spirit animals for the last 11 years.

Seeing him gone will surely break my heart.

The ending looks grim. But can we first discuss how strong shinpachi is. he is keeping up with a demon and a yato, and a gintoki. For being a normal human, he might be stronger than Okita now, maybe not, Sadist power is supreme.



But Sorachi doesn;t pull ex machinas, but just in case, what characters are left that are worth a dam in terms of fighting. If they haven't been introduced, the will be just to save Gintoki or something. But Sorachi is a great writer, he must have written in a plot point somewhere that we missed.

We still have Asameon and Sachi(lol), the Edo army(Diviner, Jirocho, Tsukyo, Zenzo etc.), and the space gang is coming down also(Joui 3, Harsume etc.)

Holy shit, the action choreography was fantastic in this chapter. Sorachi really elevated his sense of action choreography arc, especially ever since that Takasugi/Katsura vs Enshou fight. The art looks great as always, but one page looked unfinished. It will probably get a retouching during the tankoubon release.



That flashback was really heartwarming, especially the segment with Kagura. Lol at Gintoki's segment, where Sadaharu says "wan" in a disinterested manner. Sorachi better not kill off my favorite dog.

                        Very intense chapter. I love the transition between the past scenes and intention with everyone trying to win this fight. They just want to go home and let things be the way before. That's fucking inspirational tbh.



That ending doesn't look so good for Gintoki and the others though. But who knows, maybe something surprising will happen soon.



I want to see Gintoki and his friends succeed.

Poor Wan-chan probably disintegrated.



Very beast panel when he blocked the sword with just top of the hilt, and then swung back from below on Gin-chan

This is one of my favorite Gintama chapters of the year. Kagura and Sadaharu flashback was beautiful.
