"don't you dare die before we settle our differences and i tell you what i really think"



In essence Kamui is angry because Umibozu is supposed to be this strong everlasting figure that Kamui seeks to challenge. He wants to communicate his emotions from the past through fighting him too. So if Umibozu dies at the hands of someone else, what is Kamui supposed to do?



Also it should be noted that Yato's communicate various things through fighting.

Gintoki vs Kamui's Fight was foreshadowed long ago after the fight Against Hosen, it seem that the author is going to settle it now.

Yeah you're right it does make more sense.

Ive been reading through the yorozuya forums and im disgusted by the kamui hate there! Am i the only one who understands him and everyone's just delusional? What makes him so different to characters like takasugi?

Heck characters like uchiha obito and uchiha sasuke have done that much worse things and they were still salvaged.

SMH its no wonder the world is at it is now, we cant sit down and analyse and try to understand anything, its all black and white! How can we hope to understand each other if we cant even understand a fictional character?!

Absolutely nothing. Kamui is no different.



It comes down to the fact there's a lot of fangirls in the fandom. They want to believe their fictional crush (i.e. Kamui) will get over his long term trauma and live happily ever after. Which is obviously really silly because he's not just gonna get over this and talk it out all nicely with Umibozu. No. He's going to fight like Yato's do and show his emotions that way.
