Good chapter, Hibari said some interesting things~

I'm glad he won, I'm fed up with Adel's breasts already~

I concur. Adel's breast were getting to be a bit much. Lol.

Hibari not only attack mindlessly, the 10-years arc and this chapter is proof of his tactic potential

TO ALL HIBARI FANBOYS:

Be grateful this shitty character even has something to say at all.

At least it's not just that he appears, bite someone to death, and then dissappears.

As character, Hibari is absolute garbage, and everyone who have at least a little taste knows that.

But then again, we are talking about hordes of fanboys here, not fans actually...

he barely said anything during the entire series. He barely has any scenes at all beside his fighting scenes. I think Amano just wanted to give him more lines and spot light since he's basically one of the most popular characters in Khr. But it's true his character is a bit OOC

Hibari's definition of a 'small animal' was interesting. I always figured he was just calling people weak/useless when he called them 'herbivore'.

I can't help but feel that Cloud and Mist are similar.

"It's because there's a sky that clouds can float freely. But someday even that sky will also be bitten to death."

I feel like for the first time in a while we've gotten to see Hibari again. We've seen him fight, sure, but this is where it's at for me. Seeing small glimpses of Hibari's inner thoughts.

Out of character?

Don't make me laugh.

He doesn't even deserve to be called character, what with being 1D something who only bites something.

No personality, no introspection, no human weakness (like some fear, anger, sadness, etc...), nothing.

I have to disagree. I think he does have a personality, but Amano provides us with little opportunity to see it. He's considered a main character, and yet he get's no development. Lol, we know more about Xanxas that we do about Hibari. When do we actually see Hibari when he's not beating people up? Never. But he must be doing something in that time, right? We just don't see it.

There are many questions about him that if answered would do a lot to show his personality:

What is Hibari's home life like?

Why is his disciplinary committee so loyal that even ten years later, some of them still follow him?

Why is the school so important to him?

What produced his herbivore/carnivore mentality?

I think Hibari has a lot of fans not only for what we do know about him, but also for the stuff we are hoping to find out about him. So your generalizing comments are what really show poor taste.

I certainly agree with you as well. I'm not a Hibari fangirl anymore, but I am STILL quite interested to see those questions answered, especially about his social or outside-of-school life. And I also agree that Hibari does have some personality...its just that hes not developed enough since hes mostly shown fighting or telling other people that he will bite them to death lol -__-

Nonetheless, I still think hes a bit overrated as a character (or his popularity is a little overrated)...or I guess the really crazy Hibari fan(girl)s just simply gave me that impression.

Wow, Hibari is just too strong and I think he haven't show his full power yet. I also didn't believe that he will said that to Tsuna. Although he didn't show it, but I think he treats Tsuna and another guardians as his companions. I glad that he said something that can cheer Tsuna up because Tsuna was depressed. But at the last page of his chapter, he really said something unexpected. But it's really his style though.

I actually liked this chapter more than I initially thought I would.

I found the little things that Hibari mentioned to be interesting: how small animals have their own way of surviving, how "it is the sky that allows the cloud to move about freely"...though he kind of killed it in the end when he said he even will bite the sky itself *facepalm* lol.

Anyways not a bad chapter. Rarely see Hibari struggle but it certainly still feels one-sided. Time to move on with the plot :D
