Takashi definitely made the right decision in this situation.  It goes to show you how much maturity he has gained in Haru yo, Koi after all the mess he has been dealing with early in this series.  Ami still has many things to achieve in her life and she is a little too young for Takashi.  

well he didn't like her anyways so her leaving won't be that big of an issue though i do feel bad for her.
