Their duel is so different from the anime counterpart, here it actually makes sense.

                        Great chapter again. I like how Gramps was even sus about why Pegasus was battling Yugi. But now we know Pegasus is trying to force him to participate in his dueling tournament.

Yugi is being read too easily which gives him an idea to test. He believes he's being influenced through subliminal messages. That's actually pretty cool and interesting of the mangaka to include in the plot. I like how Pegasus is just messing around with Yugi.
