Ah, that was actually sad for me. Shiba sacrifices his own life in order for Chika and them to escape. If the core goes back to where it belongs, then that means it'll go back the original shinagami. It's going to be weird seeing him in his original size, since I barely remember him in his original size. For the majority of the story he was always small.
