Yotsuba&! Chapter 35 Discussion

Yotsuba made the ultimate utility vest.  it's true what they said, everything in the world does serve a purpose, and it is for Yotsuba to bring us happiness

lol she almost spilled the beans about Danbo ^_^

----------------------------------------

Yotsuba learns about recycling... sort of.

You know, like when Miura made Cardb--*BASUN!* ... er, recycled some used cardboard.

I thought for sure "Mom" was going to offer Asagi. :D

I like that Yotsuba's recycling effort turned out to be random stuff taped to a shirt. :D Including an alarm clock whose sole purpose is to... make her a bit irritated so she uses the cat to dispel the unpleasantness?

Revisiting this set of chapters now that I have a physical copy of vol. 6. Let's see what Yen Press did...

In this version of the dialogue, Miura says "Danbo" instead of "Cardbo". If Yen Press retranslated (or is translating, or will retranslate) vol. 5, that probably the term there, too.

I'll give you this shirt that says "fifteen years old." I'm sixteen now, so I don't need it anymore.

Wooow!!

That thing that Fuuka and her father say has less poetry to it than the koiwai.biz version... "Everything in this world serves some sort of need" vs. "There's no such thing as a useless thing in all the world".

"At times like these... ...I use this cat!"

rofling at this image almost made me fall off my chair

though yotsuba could do without the alarm. and use the stuffed kitten for whenever she gets upset (for whatever reason)

That was pretty awesome shirt Yotsuba made.  Especially the cat.
