The silicon creatures have occupied this level and Dhomochevsky wants to take it back. He and Iko are special safeguards with the mission to protect this level and the humans living in it which is odd if you think about it, the safeguards always tried to kill everyone as far as this story goes.

Cibo gets the parasite removed. Random coelacanth swimming around. I wonder why? Dhomochevsky won't let her out for her protection due to their obligation to protect humans in that strata and she's the only human there. Dhomo also took the sample of Seu's genome and refuses to return it to Cibo. She's asks what happened to Killy, but Dhomo lies even though Casper head said they are not suppose to withhold information. Later on, Casper head tells her and so she makes her escape. Made me laugh how Iko snitched and also provided Cibo with the weaponry built into her suit to escape, since it was him who replaced it to match her original one as much as possible. She stuns Chevsky and takes back the GBE then makes a run for it.

Cibo is human after all...now I have to ask myself once again how did she survive the 800 hours of travel without any food or water...

Those two safeguards were made long time ago (more than 250 years) so maybe they don't have the orders to kill every human that doesn't have net gens.

I assume the two safeguards made Killy go down with the elevator, I wonder why they did that, they considered him a threat?

So these temporary safeguards don’t have the order to kill anyone who doesn’t have the net terminal gene; they are to protect all humans in their stratum. I guess he’s allowed to send Kyrii back down and steal from him since Kyrii isn’t human but he needs to protect Cibo.

Iko is a good safeguard so he follows the rules and tells the truth to Cibo (who already knew they were lying since Iko replaced her broken suit with a similar safeguard one which has some neat safeguard abilities like listening in on netsphere channels). Dhomochevsky didn’t want to tell her the truth since he knew Cibo would turn hostile and run away which would risk her being killed by the silicon life.

that fish was actually the third safeguard that was supposed to help them, but the system was hacked so their body became a fish
