Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin Chapter 4 Discussion

In the first Gundam Movie (so I'm assuming this happens in the TV Series as well) Sayla encounters Char in this section and points her gun at him. Wheras in this it seems like Char doesn't even step foot on Side 7 and Sayla instead points her gun at the hooligans trying to steal their vehicle. I wonder why this was changed?

Reading Gundam in watercolor is a whole new experience. Panels with Char and his Zaku are awesome.

                        I’m amazed that there is no one more senior that a lieutenant junior grade on that ship to be second in command and I’m not sure how the Captain got injured while the ship was still able to survive.
