Urusei Yatsura Chapter 289 Discussion

The last three chapters were manga-only. This one wasn't. This chapter came out in June 1985. By this point, the OG anime TV series was very close to its end. So I think there will be more manga-only chapters from here on.



This is probably also one of the few manga chapters where the school is destroyed. This happens quite often in the anime but not so much in the manga as most chapters just end with the classroom in chaos and doesn't usually devolve into the destruction of the whole school.



Loved this chapter. I wish Ran wasn't in a different class from Lum. If she was in the same class then I think she'd have way more screen time. It's rare to see her with the other students of Class 2-4.
