Pocket Monsters Special Chapter 553 Discussion

So most of the chapter contents are completely different from the magazine version and the volume version. To maintain consistency, I will be reviewing the content shown in the volume version.



I feel like this chapter had too much on their plate and as a result some of the plot points either get rushed or glossed over. We never see Y trying to catch her VeeVee, or trying out the tile puzzle minigame, Froakie and Fletchy both don't even do anything to help Y out on the minigames despite her choosing these said Pokemon, and although Team Flare had a Sliggoo that is capable of MELTING people's heads with its slime, that conflict did not last long enough. One of the pros of this chapter is seeing Lysandre and Sycamore interact.
